Job Description
- Transfer Operations: Execute valve line-ups and operate high-capacity pumps to transfer products (crude, LPG, fuel) from storage tanks to transport units or vice versa.
- System Monitoring: Continuously track flow rates, pressures, temperatures, and tank levels to ensure they stay within safety limits.
- Safety & Emergency Shutdown (ESD): Maintain and verify readiness of Emergency Shutdown systems; initiate controlled shutdowns if pressure variances or equipment malfunctions occur to prevent "overloading" the system.
- Quality Control: Collect product samples for laboratory testing (e.g., density, moisture, sulfur content) and verify custody-transfer data for accurate billing.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and minor repairs on loading arms, hoses, meters, and valves.
- Marine Coordination (Offshore): Manage mooring lines, hawser tension, and communications with shuttle tankers during tandem or side-by-side offloading operations.
