The Plant Human Resource Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of human resources at the plant facility. This role is essential in ensuring that HR policies and procedures are implemented effectively to support the plant's operations and its employees. The HR Manager will work closely with plant management and corporate HR to optimize employee performance, foster a positive work environment, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures specific to the plant facility
  • Oversee recruitment and selection processes for plant employees
  • Manage employee relations, addressing and resolving issues as they arise
  • Provide guidance and support to plant management on employee performance management and development
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws, regulations, and corporate HR policies
  • Conduct training and development programs to support employee growth and skill enhancement
  • Manage and oversee employee benefits and compensation programs
  • Handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies
  • Participate in HR-related audits and assessments
  • Lead and facilitate employee communication and engagement initiatives
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes related to human resources
  • Collaborate with corporate HR to ensure alignment with company-wide HR initiatives
  • Manage and oversee HR administrative functions, including record-keeping and reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and practices
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in HR management

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in recruitment and talent acquisition
  • Proven ability to handle employee relations and conflict resolution
  • Understanding of compensation and benefit programs
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other relevant HR software
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and fostering a positive work culture
