Position: Safety Officer
Department: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Industry: Manufacturing
Experience: 2–5 Years
Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Industrial Safety or relevant qualification
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure implementation of HSE policies, safety procedures, and statutory compliance as per applicable laws.
Monitor workplace safety, conduct regular inspections, and identify potential hazards and risks.
Ensure compliance with applicable Factory Act, EHS regulations, and other statutory requirements.
Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety training for employees and contractors.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor PPE compliance, machine safety, fire safety, and emergency preparedness.
Maintain safety records, reports, permits, and statutory documentation.
Ensure safe work practices during hot work, work at height, confined space, and other high-risk activities.
Coordinate with departments for effective implementation of safety standards and continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards, statutory compliance, and HSE practices.
Knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, and emergency response.
Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and safety documentation.
