Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented CA Inter Accountant with 3 to 5 years of experience in the shipping industry, particularly in Customs House Agents (CHA) and freight forwarding Company. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and assisting in financial strategy development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
• Ensure accurate financial records are maintained in compliance with statutory regulations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities for audits and financial matters.
• Handle GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory compliance.
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients on financial matters related to CHA and freight forwarding.
• Support in cost control and financial analysis for ongoing shipping operations.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.

Requirements:

CA Inter qualification is mandatory.

3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the shipping industry, with specific knowledge of CHA and freight forwarding.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.

Proficiency in Tally, ERP, and MS Excel.

Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
