A Service Advisor in a car dealership acts as the primary liaison between customers and the service department. They ensure excellent customer service by understanding vehicle concerns, recommending maintenance and repair services, and coordinating with technicians to complete the required work efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and listen to their vehicle concerns.
Assess customer needs and explain recommended services, repairs, and costs.
Prepare repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and potential fixes.
Coordinate with technicians and service team to ensure timely vehicle diagnosis and repairs.
Keep customers updated on repair progress and any changes in estimated costs or timelines.
Provide accurate cost estimates, warranties, and service timelines.
Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing questions, concerns, and follow-ups.
Promote dealership service promotions and maintenance plans.
Maintain detailed service records and invoices.
Work with warranty and insurance providers to handle claims.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Automotive knowledge and ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
Problem-solving and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in dealership management software and CRM tools.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Education & Experience:
HSC/Diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred).
Prior experience in automotive service or customer-facing roles is a plus.
Certification in automotive service or dealership training is advantageous.
