Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing daily branch operations related to vessel operations, cargo handling, container surveys, and terminal coordination at Mundra.
  • Coordinate with shipping lines, terminals, port authorities, customs officials, CFS operators, and clients to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure operations are executed in accordance with company SOPs, client requirements, and port regulations.
  • Monitor operational schedules and manpower deployment to ensure timely execution of assignments.
  • Support timely preparation and submission of survey reports, cargo reports, container inspection reports, and related documentation.
  • Assist in resolving operational issues, client queries, and escalations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct regular site visits to terminals, CFSs, yards, vessel berths, and client locations to monitor operational progress and service quality.
  • Coordinate with the accounts team to support timely billing, invoicing, and follow-up for documentation.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, MIS data, and assist in preparation of reports for Management.
  • Escalate critical operational issues to the Branch Manager / HOD in a timely manner.


Team & Coordination Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide operational staff and surveyors during daily activities.
  • Ensure staff adherence to safety norms, company policies, and operational guidelines.
  • Assist in monitoring team attendance, discipline, and performance.
  • Support training and onboarding of new team members.
  • Participate in weekly operational meetings and assist in tracking action items.


Key Skills & Technical Expertise

  • Exposure to Vessel Operations & Port Coordination (Mundra exposure preferred)
  • Knowledge of Container Handling, Survey & Inspection processes
  • Understanding of Cargo Operations (Bulk, Break Bulk & Containerized Cargo)
  • Basic understanding of Vessel Husbandry and Terminal Operations
  • Familiarity with Customs procedures and statutory compliance
  • Working knowledge of shipping documentation, terminal processes, and CFS operations
  • Ability to prepare operational reports and MIS data

Note: Candidates must be from a Shipping / Marine Survey / Container Operations background with hands-on port exposure.
