Responsibilities:
The engineer who will be joining will be responsible for data center operations management, including efficient power supply management and ensuring smooth functioning of the facility.
The role involves operations oversight by ensuring all systems run 24×7, monitoring dashboards, reports, and alerts, and maintaining uptime as per SLA commitments.
The engineer will also handle team coordination by working with engineers, technicians, and shift staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring proper shift handovers.
Responsibilities include managing power and cooling systems such as UPS, DG (generators), and HVAC/CRAC units to prevent overheating or power failures.
Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for incident and problem management by resolving critical issues, performing root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing preventive actions.
The role also includes maintenance planning by scheduling preventive maintenance, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring minimal downtime.
The engineer will follow security and compliance requirements, including physical security systems like access control and CCTV, along with adherence to data security policies and audit standards.
Finally, the engineer will maintain proper documentation and reporting through daily and weekly reports, incident logs, and capacity planning records to ensure efficient and uninterrupted data center operations.
