Position: Fitter – Mechanical Maintenance
Experience: 1–3 Years
Qualification: ITI Fitter / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Location: Copper Plant at Mundra, Kutchh

Job Summary

We are seeking a technically competent and safety-conscious Fitter to support mechanical maintenance operations at our copper plant. The candidate will be responsible for equipment maintenance, breakdown troubleshooting, and ensuring the reliability of plant machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Dismantle, assemble, repair, and align pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, valves, bearings, and rotating machinery.
• Perform fitting, grinding, drilling, and basic fabrication activities.
• Identify mechanical faults and ensure timely equipment restoration.
• Read basic mechanical drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
• Support plant shutdowns, equipment overhauling, and maintenance improvement activities.
• Follow strict safety, permit-to-work, and housekeeping standards.

Required Skills

• Hands-on knowledge of industrial mechanical maintenance and fitting tools.
• Understanding of bearings, couplings, lubrication, alignment, and rotating equipment.
• Good troubleshooting, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts and industrial plant conditions.
